One Health & Ecohealth are disciplines that practice according to the philosophy that, in matters of health, all things are connected. Human health, domestic and wild animal health, and environmental health are interconnected, and this interdependence must be considered when working to address problems related to the health of people, animals, or the planet.
We work through a ‘One Health in Action’ approach to enhancing the health and well-being of the wildlife we conserve, which in turn enhances the communities that surround wildlife. By improving the health of humans and their domestic livestock and pets, we indirectly improve wildlife health. By supporting the communities surrounding wildlife, we encourage them to appreciate and preserve their wildlife, thus providing the global community a chance to enjoy threatened and endangered wildlife for generations to come.
